The first Autocarrier, a single cylinder delivery tricycle, was built in 1904. 'Autocarrier' became 'AC' for the Sociable, a passenger-carrying version, in 1907. The famous 2 litre six cylinder engine powered a huge variety of cars from the elegant vintage cars of the twenties up to the Ace, Aceca and Greyhound of the fifties and early sixties. It was supplemented by Bristol and Ford sixes and finally replaced by the Ford V8, when the Ace was transformed into the Cobra. Later ACs are the 428 Frua, the 3000ME, the Ace 'Brooklands' and continuation Cobras including the Mk IV and the CRS. The ACOC caters for all these, and offers a social and competition calendar through the year as well as a monthly magazine.
