The Simply Classics Car Club Challenge will now be held the following week on SUNDAY 17th OCTOBER 2010 at Pegasus Town 20 minutes north of central Christchurch. The aim of The Simply Classics Car Club Challenge is to provide clubs with a fun day out participating in an event together to win club trophies, as well as to highlight some amazing individual cars amongst the clubs as well. Each car club is invited to register up to 20 vehicles to participate in the 2010 Simply Classics Car Club Challenge. Each club must choose 1 of the following 3 categories that best represents your club as a whole. These categories are: Your Marque – e.g. MG Car Club, Lotus Car Club, Jaguar Car Club, Alfa Romeo Car Club, Rover Car Club etc Your Brand Name –e.g. Mustang Car Club, Corvette Car Club, Falcon Car Club, Holden Car Club, Model T Car Club etc Your Club Name – e.g. Rotary Clubs, Hot Rod Clubs, American Classic Car Clubs, Street Car Clubs etc Trophies will be awarded on the day for the best car club in each of the 3 main categories. There will also be a show and shine with prizes awarded for the best individual cars in the following categories: Best American, Best European, Best British, Best Australian, Best Japanese, Best Street Car and Best Hot Rod. Car assembly will begin at 9.30am, and judging will start at 11am. Presentations of winning club trophies and individual prizes will be held at 3pm. All car clubs must pre-register for the Simply Classics Car Club Challenge by Tuesday 7th September 2010. This will allow us ample time to provide each club with a site map showing your club’s site allocation space, arrival time for parking up on the day and full information pack. A gate entry fee of $6 will be charged per car on the day with all proceeds going to the Simply Classics Charitable Trust to raise money for 2 amazing charities: Ronald McDonald House and CanTeen.
