Comments
This Lagonda is a very rare ' pillarless ' Model (ie.without the central pillar between the two doors.) In addition it is the ' Sanction 3 ' Model with the redesigned Harry Weslake Cylinder head with the improved porting and the stronger G10 gearbox, also used in the Bigger V12 Model. William O. Bentley was considerably involved in the advancement of the 4.5 litre, 6 cylinders engines in the LG45 Models. Chassis #. 12192. Only approx. 270 of this Model (Sanction 1, 2 and 3 were built) The previous owner, of more than 25 years (approx.1984), stated that the engine had been fully rebuilt in 1979. The car was repainted and a new interior with leather seats was professionally fitted in 1994. The Lagonda is still in immaculate running order and condition. In 1971 the vehicle was a member of the Lagonda club in England with the original UK registration number CYB 599. We are hopeful that we will be able to retrieve this registration number, should the car be registered again in the UK. Detailed DVD footage is available for the serious buyer.
